Hotels: There is one small (very clean) motel in town, which is the Sunrise Inn. There is however a Quality Inn scheduled to open next month. As soon as that happens, we will contact them to get room rates and make arrangements. Because Durand is a small town, the hotel will also be fairly small, with a total of about 40 rooms. Therefore, it is important that reservations be made in advance to insure availability.

Airports: There is an airport in Flint (airport code FNT), that is very close to Durand. However, it is probably $100 to $150 more to fly into that airport than the main airport in the Detroit area, Detroit Metropolitan (DTW). Free transportation will be provided from both locations. We are planning on limousine service from DTW but, because of the distance involved, it will probably only be available every three to four hours. Hopefully, the ladies that are attending can communicate and coordinate with each other in terms of flight arrival times so that no one has to spend an excessive amount of time at the airport. As far as airlines go, Detroit is a hub for Northwest, so they have a greater selection of flights than any of the other airlines. They also use the new McNamara Terminal (along with Delta and Continental). For anyone who has to wait for transportation, the McNamara Terminal has a nice variety of shops, restaurants and pubs.

Airport Shuttle Schedule: Tentative plans are for departures from DTW to Durand on Wednesday at 4:00 and 7:00, on Thursday at 1:00 and 4:00 and Friday at noon. Hopefully, no one will be flying in on Saturday. We will have several departures back to the airport on Sunday. As this will be our biggest expense, we hope the ladies will help us out by making their flight reservations as early as possible and letting us know when they will be arriving.

Schedule of Events: Based on feedback from a number of women regarding scheduling, the Singles has been changed to Friday/Saturday and the Doubles to Saturday/Sunday.
